Meet the Management Team
Cian first became Microsoft certified in 2002 on the NT platform. He has a HND in Computer Science and C&G level 1,2 & 3 in Advanced Technology as well as achieving certifications in numerous other IT products and services over the years including certifications in HP, Citrix, Ericom and Axis but to name a few.
Over the duration of 12 years Cian has worked in Eurosoft, Softech, Netwatch & Mongey Communications at management level in both technical and operational capacities. Specialising in remote solutions, multisites and hosted services he has specified, installed, project managed and managed the support for clients such as Punch, The Irish Prison Service, An Garda Siochana, Firstcare Ireland, Eddie Rockets, Sparrow Insurance, Avid Partners, HRM recruitment as well as hundreds more in his career. Cian founded Ortus Limited in 2008 and has used every bit of his experience to provide a fresh, young, energetic approach to I.T. based on communication with clients and building a highly technical & innovative team of A players.
David has a lifelong interest in computers, physics and technology and received an honours degree from Trinity College in 2008. David is also a certified Microsoft and CSSA engineer. David specialises in Servers, Cloud solutions, LAN/WAN communications and network security. David started he’s career in UPC rolling out their network infrastructure throughout the country.
David has subsequently gone on to work for Hewlet Packard managing migrations to hosted exchange (cloud) systems and working with the corporate team to manage server active directories for multinational companies in multiserver environments. David’s technical ability led to him being hired by Ortus in 2010 and subsequently thrived due to his ability to troubleshoot 100% of issues through to resolution. In 2013 David’s innovation and ever growing knowledge of server and cloud solutions resulted in him becoming the Technical Director of Ortus Limited.
National Sales Manager
Technology and Computers have always been at the forefront of every role Jason has worked at. During his time with Superquinn, technology and in particular order systems were greatly improved with his expertise. During his time with OKI Printing Solutions he also specialised in Business Process Automation and workflows for large organisations that required the latest technology from a print output point of view. His love for technology continued into roles in Dublin Zoo were efficiencies and workflows improved in the Zoo using the latest systems that he implemented.
He joined Ortus in February 2015 to join a young dynamic team with a vision. He joined as Sales Manager of a young team hoping to expand the team and the company. His wealth of experience in different industries will pay huge dividends with clients from a customer relations point of view.
Contracts ManagerChris has worked with some of the largest multinational companies in the world. Having started in the University of Salford she holds a Diploma in Business Studies and has over 14 year’s experience in business, predominantly in project management.
Chris has worked with Cap Gemini, Equant, France Telecom and Orange rolling out Software projects involving global teams. Chris has worked on projects in Ireland, France, Hong Kong, China, Australia and India. Her ability to manage the operational and logistical side of projects is down to strong communication skills, hard work and an ability to give unrivalled attention to detail.
Helpdesk ManagerHaving studied Software Development in LYIT Letterkenny and successfully attained Network+ and multiple Microsoft certificates, Shane now works as the Helpdesk Manager in Ortus.
Shane’s understanding of software and a lifelong interest in computers along with immaculate communication skills has become a huge asset to the Ortus Helpdesk since joining the team in 2012. After working two years as a Support Engineer, Shane was promoted to Helpdesk Manager in 2015.
